North East India Biodiversity Network

The North East India Biodiversity Network is dedicated to provide an impartial network for the exchange of knowledge, ideas, methodologies and information on Biodiversity of NE India among researchers, academicians, students, individuals, non-government and government organisations. In fact, it attempts to set a platform for debate and discussion among individuals and groups on Biodiversity of the region cutting across disciplinary and ideological predilections. Besides publication of BioDiverse Magazine and Conservation Leaflets, the North East India Biodiversity Network also organises yearly lecture series on different aspects pertaining to biodiversity of NE India.

An online biodiversity database 

NEIBN, an online database of the flora and fauna of Northeast India is under construction (named after the network). The database aims to provide detail information of a species: taxonomical characters, photos, distribution and conservation status.
